The Plum Race 170 is the longest running binding of the Plum Race family and is an ideal binding for lightweight ski mountaineering and even ski mountaineering racing. It has all of the advantages of the Race 150, but also offers 20mm of adjustment for different sized boot soles. When set to your boot the Race 170 can be turned 90° for a flat position when in walk mode or left facing forward with flap closed for an inclined climbing position. An additional climber can also be attached for a higher incline for steeper slopes.
A stainless steel crampon can be attached to the toe piece to better serve all ski mountaineering applications. The Toe has been updated on the Race 170 to make switching between the locked and releasable position easier to navigate and more secure so that you have the peace of mind of knowing the binding will stay as you set it. The Plum Race 170, a lightweight ski touring binding with adjustability for whatever boots the day calls for and reliability for whatever the conditions may be.
